Our client is a leading professional services firm in the IP space seeking a talented Business Development Advisor, Global Markets to join their team who are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional client experiences.
In this role you will partner with practice groups to implement high-quality business development initiatives. Your focus will be on retaining, developing, and expanding our client and referral base in key global markets, while ensuring an exceptional experience for both internal and external stakeholders. The role involves managing international Business Development (BD) campaigns, generating data insights, supporting opportunity pipelines, and contributing to the firm’s overall growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- International Business Development: Implement and manage international BD and travel campaigns, build and maintain relationships with overseas associates, assist and collaborate in managing events, provide insights and recommendations.
- Data Insights & Opportunity Pipeline: Identify opportunities for client retention, development and growth, advise on targets for International BD campaigns, assist managing the International BD opportunity pipeline using Nexl, identify cross-sell opportunities and promote the firm’s global hubs.
- Proposals & Tenders: Collaborate with partners to create relevant BD collateral, including capability statements and tender responses, assist with the strategic preparation and go/no-go decisions.
- CRM & Client Relationship Management: Champion the use of CRM tools and ensure effective tracking ofInternational BD opportunities and activity, advise on using CRM systems to manage BD campaigns, opportunities and client relationships,acting as the voice of the client within the firm.
- Brand & Financial Management: Act as an advocate for the firm’s brand and ensure BD activities align.
Who should apply:
You will have demonstrated success within a BD role, ideally in a professional services/B2B or research environment. You will bring a client-focussed mindset and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. A proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities with strong data analysis and decision-making skills are essential. Your creativity and pro-activity will bring fresh ideas to solve problems and anticipate needs before they arise. You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication with a proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience designing and implementing BD campaigns with measurable ROI. Postgraduate qualifications and knowledge or experience within the IP industry would be advantageous,though not essential.
