BD Manager – Insurance

Fantastic opportunity to take the lead in driving business development and marketing initiatives for the commercial insurance practice group at a leading law firm. As a pivotal member of the Business Development team, you will collaborate closely with the highly regarded insurance group to foster client conversations, secure new business, and enhance client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with the National Practice Group Leaders, partners and BDM colleagues to qualify opportunities and prepare tenders.
  • Work closely with the partners to assist in targeted BD and relationship management plans for key clients and identify cross-selling opportunities. 
  • Develop and implement campaigns to strengthen the Group’s reputation in specific markets. 
  • Develop internal communications to promote knowledge of the Group’s BDM and client activities, achievements and opportunities.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure brand activities are aligned with insurance business development activities, practice group needs, and individual practice group levels
  • Manage a direct report at Consultant level including delegation of work, coaching for best practice outcomes, goal setting and performance management.

Who Should Apply

We are looking for an experienced BD Adviser/Manager with a minimum of 3 years experience, ideally gained in the legal or professional services sector. 

You will have proven experience in managing and executing BD, marketing and CRM strategies and campaigns.

Proactive in your approach, you will have outstanding stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate effectively.
