Our client is a global industry leading law firm working in the world’s most dynamic markets.

They are looking for a proactive, commercially astute, and client-focused individual to join a dynamic and fast-growing area of their Client Development team as a Client Development Manager in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in driving business growth and delivering tailored resourcing solutions to corporate legal teams, law firms, and other professional clients. You will work directly with General Counsel, Heads of Legal, and senior stakeholders to build long-term relationships and deliver exceptional client service.

Reporting to the Head of the team for Asia Pacific & Middle East, you will be responsible for managing the full client lifecycle in Australia, from business development to client relationship management. You’ll help shape the future growth and contribute to our success in an innovative, entrepreneurial environment.
 
As Client Development Manager, you responsibilities will include:

  • Business Development: Lead the business development activities in Australia, driving revenue growth and achieving targets set in the local business plan.
  • Client Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire client lifecycle, from sourcing and qualifying leads, to pitching, negotiating commercial terms, and maintaining ongoing client relationships with senior decision-makers (e.g., General Counsel, Heads of Legal).
  • Cross-Selling & Collaboration: Collaborate with global teams to cross-sell services and create new opportunities across regions. Work alongside local business development teams to integrate additional services and share client insights.
  • Marketing & Networking: Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute an effective marketing plan for the Australian market. Lead local networking efforts and participate in business events to establish new relationships and expand our client base.
  • Consultant Management: Oversee the management of consultants while they are on assignment, ensuring excellent service delivery to both clients and consultants.

  
Who should apply:

You will demonstrate prior success with a proven track record of managing the sales process and leading complex negotiations, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities. You will be a self-starter with the drive to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a strong client focus that includes experience in building and nurturing client relationships, particularly at a senior, consultative level.
