The Head of Brand & Communications is a member of the Brand, Clients & Markets leadership team and has responsibility for the marketing, media and communications strategy and workplans.
The team builds, promotes and protects the Colin Biggers & Paisley brand, positioning through strategic communications, marketing and brand profiling activities. Increasingly the team are working with the Business Development team and other stakeholders on end to end campaigns to engage clients and lead to sales conversations.
They have engaged us to source their next Head of Brand & Communications, reporting to the Director of Brand, Clients & Markets, this role will collaborate closely with the Business Development team as well as the Partnership.
Leading a small team, you will be responsible for devising and implementing marketing, media and communications strategies. Your role will involve shaping the Colin Biggers & Paisley brand, enhancing its visibility, and, driving market activity to support the firm’s growth objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement the Brand & Communications strategy in alignment with the firm’s objectives.
- Collaborate with the Director to define and execute the firm’s Brand Strategy, acting as a brand builder and guardian.
- Plan and develop campaigns and content, ensuring consistent brand messaging across external and internal platforms.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to support external client-focused communications and social media activities.
- Manage external website and social media platforms, serving as a subject matter expert on digital content development.
- Implement external media strategy and manage industry surveys and awards programs.
- Develop practice-wide, industry-specific, and targeted awareness campaigns in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Work on the annual internal communications plan, optimising internal communication channels and fostering staff engagement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Brand & Communications team.
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise within the Brand, Clients & Markets leadership team.
Who should apply?
You will have built your career in broad brand & communications, demonstrating your experience in client-focused communications strategies as part of a broader experience base. We are interested in candidates who come from any type of professional services firm or other matrix services environment. This might include experience in some of the following sectors: legal, accounting, engineering, built environment, consulting, technology, property, advisory, financial services or similar.
You will bring a proven track record in communications and marketing management. Your commercial mindset with a focus on client engagement and service positioning will be greately valued. Your ability to bring ideas and creativity, encouraging the same from your team will also be valued. You will enjoy working in high performing teams. You will be someone who enjoys collaborating with peers, stakeholders, leaders and your team utilising your relational, influencing and advisory skills and experience.
